Overview
Waterfield's is a busy Northwest Bakery suppling retail through our 43 shops, wholesale and supermarkets. We are seeking one dedicated and driven Production Operative to join our dynamic team to manage and drive standards in the freezer area. The successful candidate will play a critical part in maintaining high standards of quality ensuring that the products our customers receive are made, stored ,managed and dispatched according to the Waterfield's quality manual.
The role is 40 hours per week are :-
1:- 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute break.
There may be some overtime and flexibility depending on the needs of the business
Responsibilities
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product quality and safety.
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve productivity targets and maintain a clean working environment.
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment working collaboratively with the other production teams.
Job description
- Working in an area which involves great attention to detail the successful candidates will join existing teams .
- Tasks including picking and packing orders for dispatch, managing the freezer stock using the scanning stock control system, organising and managing stock using the racking to maximise space, working with the production managers to understand the production needs and seasonal variations.
- There is an amount of manual handling placing products in trays, moving stacks and using heavy product on equipment.
- This role is pivotal in the production process, the successful candidate with enjoy a degree of automony to manage the freezer space while benfiting from the team work with the departments around them.
Skills
- Positive can do attitude to facilitate problem solving.
- Experience in food production or similar manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a strong driven individual able to achieve targets and deadlines in a high pressured and fast environment.
- Forklift truck and a reach licence would be advantageous.
