Llandudno pier is one of the premier attractions in North Wales. Welcoming over 1 million visitors each year, and boasting stunning views towards Eryri and Yr Wyddfa, it truly is a workplace like no other.
The arcades at Llandudno pier are an integral part of the business. No trip to the seaside is complete without putting a few pounds in a 2p pusher, hoping to take away a small souvenir.
The running of these arcades is the responsibility of a small management team, that are looking to add a new team leader to its ranks.
As team leader, it’ll be your duty to oversee the daily operations within the arcades. This is primarily focused in the ‘Deck arcade’ at the end of the pier but will also include the Main arcade at the main entrance.
Ensuring the business is run to our high standards helps keep the arcade running smoothly and provides a great visitor experience.
The role
As team leader, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: -
· Open and close the business
· Organise staff and their daily jobs
· Onboarding and training new staff
· Stock rotation and replenishment
· Refilling change machines where necessary (Includes some heavy lifting)
· Weekly collections on cash machines (requires some heavy lifting)
About you
This role isn’t one that requires previous arcade experience, as full training will be given, but the role does require: -
· Previous supervisory or team leader experience
· The ability to comfortably lift weights in excess 15kg
· Availability to work outside of ‘Normal’ working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
· A calm approach to escalated customer complaints
· The ability to work well within a team
This role is projected to be worked over 5 shifts and up to 45+ hours a week on a set rota during our busy season, and possibly less during quieter times, but contracted to no less than 25 hours per week.
