We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic and quickly growing team. This permanent position is ideally suited to an individual with an order picking background who is used to a fast-paced, same-day distribution environment.
The Role
Based in the day shift warehouse team at our Newport depot your main objective would be to pick tyres and consumables for our busy distribution runs across the South-West region or unload stock from delivery containers, making it readily available in the warehouse. Your day to day work will be based around use of our bespoke warehouse management apps on an iPad.
As a warehouse operative, attention to detail and drive to work at a continued fast pace is a big part of this role.
In this warehousing role you can expect your day to focus around the following duties:
· Picking a minimum of 400 tyres a day.
· Picking from an iPad using our bespoke warehouse management systems.
· Use of FLT or HLOP equipment.
· Organising products for delivery in to the loading bays.
· Processing items in to stock.
· Providing excellent customer service to anyone at our Trade Counter.
· Adhering to company policies, general H&S & housekeeping requirements.
· All other warehouse related duties.
The Conditions
· Any offers made are subject to DBS and other relevant background checks.
· We carry out random and “with cause” drug and alcohol testing.
· This role requires you to operate at height.
The hours
· 45.5working hours Monday – Saturday (13:00 finish on a Saturday – Saturdays are only worked every other week).
