Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Coach to join our sports programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging training sessions, fostering team spirit, and developing players’ skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire young athletes and promote a positive sporting environment. The position is paid, including internship opportunities, and requires a commitment to coaching excellence and athlete development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement training programmes tailored to different age groups and skill levels
- Lead team practices, drills, and tactical sessions to improve individual and team performance
- Motivate players, encourage teamwork, and promote sportsmanship on and off the field
- Analyse game footage and provide constructive feedback for player improvement
- Organise fixtures, tournaments, and friendly matches to enhance competitive experience
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and promote a safe environment for all participants
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding progress and upcoming events
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and training areas in a clean and organised manner
Skills
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly football or similar team sports
- Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to motivate diverse age groups
- Excellent organisational skills to plan training sessions and manage team logistics
- Good communication skills to engage with players, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to inspire confidence and foster a positive team environment
- Knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules of football, and safety standards
