Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to join our team on a part-time basis, working during term time only in the afternoons at Wath-upon-Dearne. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about maintaining clean and safe learning environments. You will play a vital part in ensuring school premises are hygienic, welcoming, and well-maintained for students and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas after school hours
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for all users
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines efficiently to meet deadlines
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred
- Working times 3.30pm to 5.30pm
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures specific to school environments is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and reliability
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks effectively
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards related to cleaning activities
- Enhanced DBS carried out by Trustclean
