We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Events Team on an ad-hoc basis.
This role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a flexible and dynamic environment with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
We attend some really exciting events and festivals across the country such as Eilean Dorcha Festival, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, Scone Palace International Horse Trials (to name a few!). We’re looking for someone to join our team to assist in creating memorable experiences for our customers during various events across Scotland and the Scottish Islands, serving our award winning gelato and products.
This role requires a full driving licence and access to vehicle as from time to time you may be required to use your own transport (travel expenses will be included).
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring exceptional service of our gelato and other produce
- Assist in setting up events, cash handling, food service, cleaning down at the end of day.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the parlour, including regular cleaning and restocking of supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
- Support any additional tasks as required by management during peak periods.
- Serving within our Events Trailer or Parlour on Wheels at events or other local locations across the spring/summer season
- Ensuring the cabinet is clean, tidy and presentable
- Hygiene standards and ensuring the work space is kept clean
- Topping up the cabinet with fresh produce
- Setting up the cabinet ready to serve
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment - events/peak season can often be busy so need to be able to work efficiently
- Clean down process following from days trade or the event
- Working within a team or sometimes individually
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Full driving licence and access to vehicle
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- A proactive approach and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends during peak seasons
- Flexibility to be away from home for long periods of time, up to a week
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Due to the nature of the role, applicants should be 18 years and over
- Rate of pay dependent on previous experience
Candidates should ideally have one year work experience within hospitality or retail dealing with customers, have a friendly working attitude to work alongside our already great team and be prepared to work longer hours at some of the events. There will also be some shorter shifts too, depending on the event.
