About the role
We're hiring an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join Home Energy Counsel Ltd on a permanent, PAYE basis. This is a nationwide, field-based role installing and commissioning solar PV and battery storage systems in customers' homes — domestic work only.
You'll be given your own van and work as part of a team that takes quality seriously — clean installs, correct paperwork, and systems that perform the way the customer was told they would. Solar PV experience is essential; this isn't a role we can train from scratch.
- Installing, terminating and commissioning domestic solar PV systems
- Installing battery storage and hybrid inverter systems
- Carrying out inspection and testing and completing certification
- Fault finding and remedial work on existing domestic PV and storage systems
- Working safely at height and to current wiring and MCS standards
- Leaving the property clean and tidy, and talking the customer through their system at handover
- Proven domestic solar PV installation experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Relevant Solar PV and Battery Storage Qualification (BPEC or Equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays where the job requires it
- £50,000 to £80,000 per year (basic) Dependant on Experience
