Class 1 HGV Driver – Flatbed / Roof Truss Work
Cross Country Carriers Ltd is looking for an experienced and professional Class 1 HGV Driver to join our friendly and experienced team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role involves the delivery of wooden roof materials and roof trusses to building sites across the UK mainland. The work is mainly flatbed and roof truss deliveries, with occasional nights out required.

About the Role
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and professional delivery of wooden roof materials to building sites throughout the UK mainland.
You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service while ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
About You
To be considered for this permanent position, you must:
- Hold a current HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Hold a valid Driver CPC
- Have a thorough understanding of driving hours and Working Time Directive legislation
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and excellent work ethic
- Be able to work independently while also being part of a friendly and experienced team
- Be comfortable with flatbed and roof truss work
- Be willing to undertake occasional nights out
