Herschel Infrared Ltd is a dynamic and high-growth international company manufacturing and supplying energy-efficient, stylish and sustainable electric heating solutions which can be powered by renewable energy.
Due to our expansion, we are looking for a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead our night shift (4pm–12am) at our manufacturing site. You'll take ownership of the shift — keeping production running smoothly, supporting your team, and making sure quality and safety standards are met every night.
What you'll be doing
- Leading and motivating the night shift team to hit production targets
- Planning and allocating work across the shift
- Monitoring output, quality and downtime, and resolving issues as they arise
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Carrying out shift handovers and reporting to the Production Supervisor
- Supporting training, development and performance of team members
- Help with general assembly tasks.
What we're looking for
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of health & safety in the workplace
- Confident leading a team — able to motivate, communicate clearly and lead by example
- Good problem-solving skills and a calm head under pressure
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working a regular night shift
- Basic IT skills (production reporting, email)
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
- First Aid at Work certificate

- £15.00–£18.00 per hour, depending on experience
