Job Overview
We are seeking two friendly, efficient and experienced Weekend Baristas to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing a variety of beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our customers. The ideal candidates will be passionate about coffee and food service, with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude. This position offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working during weekends, supporting our busy weekend trade.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring high quality standards.
- Handle customer orders efficiently and courteously, providing excellent service at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and equipment to adhere to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or baked goods when required.
- Restock supplies as needed throughout the shift to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience in a busy environment is a must.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
- Flexibility to work during weekends, particularly mornings and afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Confidence to work alone, including opening and closing the coffee container and toilets.
