We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with a variety of automotive systems, including timing belts, clutches, and wet belt engines. As a Level 3 Mechanic, you will be expected to carry out a wide range of repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks on customer vehicles with precision and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on vehicles, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Specialise in replacing and repairing timing belts, clutches, and wet belt engines.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of engine components, brakes, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide accurate and detailed reports of diagnostics and repairs to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with colleagues and team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality of service.
- Stay updated on automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Proven experience in working with timing belts, clutches, and wet belt engines.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work on a wide range of vehicles, including various makes and models.
- Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Full, valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to undergo further training, including Electric Vehicle (EV) technology and MOT testing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Available to work Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30am & alternative Saturdays
Desirable:
- MOT testing certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Additional certifications in automotive repair or diagnostics.
