We're looking for a compassionate Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to an engaging young man living in Leicester (LE3) who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and behaviours that can sometimes challenge. About the Role
You will be supporting a male client primarily within his family home in Leicester (LE3), with occasional community outings such as swimming, walks, appointments, and other activities.
The successful candidate will provide calm, consistent, and person-centred support that promotes independence while following established routines and behavioural support strategies.
This role involves working closely with the client's family and, during 2:1 support session’s, collaborating with another member of the support team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and engaging people in activities they genuinely enjoy. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position; if employed directly by us, we will arrange this on your behalf. Candidates who already hold a DBS certificate registered with the Update Service are welcome to use their existing check.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting morning routines and meal preparation
- Encouraging independence with daily living activities
- Providing supervision and prompts during toileting and showering (no direct personal care required)
- Supporting participation in swimming, walks, creative projects, and other activities
- Helping maintain a calm, structured, and positive environment
- Assisting with reading development and therapeutic activities
- Driving the client to appointments and community activities when required
- Working alongside colleagues and family members to provide consistent support
Skills and Experience:
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle (mileage paid)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Reliability and commitment to providing high-quality support
- Willingness to work early starts and flexible shifts
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Learning Disabilities Support Worker, Autism Support Worker, or similar role
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, or complex behavioural needs
- To be able to participate in swimming sessions with the client confidently and safely
Shifts Available:
There are a variety of shifts available on a rota basis, with both part-time and full-time opportunities considered. Please state your preferred hours when applying.
Most shifts begin early, with start times from 7:00am.
Example shifts may include:
- Monday: 7:30am to 5:15pm
- Tuesday: 7:00am to 10:00am
- Friday: 7:00am to 10:30am and 2:45pm to 6:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am to 3:00pm
