Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our Nursing Team and recruit an additional Healthcare Assistant working 12-18.5 hours per week.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated candidate to provide essential support to patients registered with our Practice. You would be joining a team of 5 (2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 Healthcare Assistant and 1 Phlebotomist) alongside the wider clinical and administrative teams.
Duties
- Consult with patients, and their relatives, independently (seeking support when required)
- Undertake a range of clinical skills including wound care, suture removal, phlebotomy, ECGs, injections, basic observations & health checks, long-term condition checks
- Act as a chaperone
- Provide support during minor operations
- Provide clinical support to the wider clinical team
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure high-quality care
Requirements
- Completion of Care Certificate, or equivalent qualification
- Evidence of training
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong organisational skills
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
Pay: From £15.50 per hour
