Duties
- Perform detailed inspections of machinery and equipment using schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and cleaning, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently, utilizing mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify root causes.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or cumbersome parts or machinery components.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members and supporting operational needs promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with schematics, mechanical systems, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various types of machinery and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues quickly.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with welding techniques, experience in equipment assembly or installation, and the ability to read technical schematics fluently.
