The Role:
A Customer Delivery Driver plays a key role in ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and professionally while providing an excellent customer experience.
You will act as a visible representative of the Natures Menu brand, combining skilled driving, compliance with transport regulations, and a strong commitment to customer service. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high delivery standards, operating company vehicles responsibly, and building positive relationships with customers through reliable and professional service.
This role reports to the Regional Distribution Manager.
You will be able to drive up to 7.5T vehicles.
What you will do:
Daily Responsibilities:
- Ensure you are presentable in your Natures Menu uniform and PPE is worn correctly.
- Conduct pre and post use checks consistently on work vehicles before use, flagging any issues to your line manager and directly on the R2C system, ensuring vehicle is roadworthy before use and after use for following day.
- Accurate use of the tachograph system ensuring this is kept as accurately as possible and has the ability to make manual entries as required.
- Ensure your driver hours are adhered to as required by law and you observe all driving standards put forward in the Driver Handbook.
- Deliver the product to the customer’s desired location and when unloading deliveries, use the equipment available to you e.g. sack-barrow, as required, when on customer sites to aid delivery.
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance when carrying out deliveries and rectify as required e.g. refilling petrol, AdBlue etc.
- Provide a consistent high standard when delivering to customer sites and take ownership and pride in your work.
- Take full responsibility for and maintain the security and integrity of the company vehicle assigned to you. You must ensure the vehicle is not left unlocked, the contents are not left unattended and you take care not to damage the vehicle in any way.
- Take full responsibility for and security of the fuel card assigned to you.
Commercial Awareness:
- You recognise that high service standards support customer retention.
- You understand that professional behaviour reflects directly on the brand.
- You appreciate that positive customer interactions encourage repeat business.
- You have a basic understanding of products and awareness of new products available.
- You drive responsibly to avoid claims, insurance increases, and reputational damage.
- You understand that adhering to driver hours regulations avoids fines and legal risk.
- You understand the working time directive and driver hours regulations, ensuring compliance.
- You ensure you complete one CPC module or seven hours, every year to remain compliant.
Health & Safety:
- You will take responsibility for maintaining your own safety in the workplace and ensuring that your activities are carried out in full compliance with UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Understand and adhere to basic workplace hazards and safe systems of work.
- Know fire evacuation routes, alarms, and emergency procedures.
- Follow manual handling principles and PPE requirements.
- Report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Promote safe working practices and challenge unsafe behaviour.
- Observe safe and professional driving practices when on the road, including obeying applicable road traffic laws.
What we are looking for:
Experience:
- Hold a clean, valid driver’s license of an appropriate vehicle category.
- Previous experience of multi-drop delivery operations.
- Previous driving experience for a commercial fleet.
- Must hold a valid CPC licence.
- Must hold a valid Tachograph Card.
- Experience using IT equipment and mobile devices.
Location: Snetterton
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday between 4.30am and 8am to between 4pm – 6pm
Weekly Hours: 50.5 hours
Salary: £39,258.70 per annum
