As Assistant Manager, you’ll support the Premises Manager in running daily operations across both the bar and kitchen, helping maintain high standards, smooth service, and a welcoming atmosphere for every customer.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Premises Manager with day‑to‑day bar and restaurant operations
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints professionally
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, workflow, and service quality
- Communicate confidently with head office when required
- Keep paperwork organised, record daily takings accurately and assist with ordering and stock control
- Work alongside the Premises Manager to effectively cover staff absences as a team
- Support both bar and kitchen teams with a hands‑on, positive approach
- Help maintain a structured, compliant, and well‑organised working environment
What We’re Looking For - Experience & Skills
- Strong hospitality background (pub or similar environment preferred)
- Minimum 1 year kitchen experience
- Previous training in Food Hygiene Level 2 (as minimum) and allergen awareness
- Previous supervisory or team‑leader experience advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Email and Microsoft Office skills, Excel experience is advantageous
- Experience with Epos till systems advantageous
- Confident communicating with senior management
- Calm, professional, and reliable under pressure

Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
