As an ER Manager, you will co-lead the delivery of ER services across the business, overseeing a team of ER Consultants & Advisors to ensure consistent, expert handling of complex cases in line with Sky's policies, values, and legal obligations. You will be aligned to a business area to understand and address their specific ER priorities, patterns and trends. You will work closely with the ER Strategy team, HR Investigations, and People Partnering teams to ensure a joined-up approach to ER, while driving continuous improvement and enhancing performance across the function.
This is a high-impact role within a varied and complex environment. You'll play a critical part in shaping how ER is experienced across the business -balancing risk, fairness, and commercial outcomes-while developing both your team and the capability of the wider organisation.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage a team of ER Consultant and ER Advisors, ensuring consistent, high-quality case management and advice, with a strong focus on growth, development, coaching and building capability at all levels
- Aligned to a business area you'll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders in both HR and the business, providing expert counsel on complex employee relations matters, key interventions and proactive activity, influencing outcomes at pace
- Monitor ER case trends and performance metrics, using insights to identify themes, address root causes and drive continuous improvement across the business area you partner
- Ensure the team deliver to SLA's and quality standards, reducing case length, embedding best practice and supporting commercially sound, risk-based decision making
- Collaborate with key HR roles, including People Partnering, Strategic ER roles, HR Investigations to align operational delivery with strategy and ensure seamless, end-to-end case resolution and proactive intervention
- Co-design and deliver ER-related learning and development for the ER team, HR colleagues, and business leaders, building confidence, consistency and capability in managing people matters
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across HR and the business to enhance alignment, credibility and trust in ER delivery
- Foster a positive, high-performing team environment, promoting wellbeing, engagement, and a strong sense of accountability and ownership
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership experience of an Employee Relations team managing complex case activity within a large and nuanced organisation
- Experience working in an environment with SLA's and performance measures, and the ability to motivate, coach and empower a team to consistently deliver high standards
- A strong track record in stakeholder management and building trusted, credible relationships at senior levels across both HR and the business
- Proven ability to lead risk-based decision making, balancing legal, commercial and people considerations, and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders to reach clear, pragmatic outcomes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, spot trends and translate insight into meaningful action and improvement
- Extensive experience in complex Employee Relations case management, including high-risk, sensitive, and high-profile cases
- Strong understanding of UK and Ireland Employment Law and its practical application in a commercial environment
