Private family near Fleet is looking for an experienced, caring and reliable self-employed live-in carer for a lady with Parkinson’s who uses a wheelchair. The client lives with her retired husband, who is actively involved and supportive. The home is fully adapted with an electric rotating bed, Molift, electric wheelchair and lift.
Main duties: personal care and hygiene, dressing, assistance with eating, mobility/transfers, companionship, gentle exercises and encouraging activities. The client enjoys her garden, reading and helping with cooking.
Hours: 8am–8pm with a 2-hour daily break.
Rate: £150/day.
Rotation: 4–6 weeks on / 2 weeks off or longer by agreement.
Food: up to £50/week allowance or food provided.
Travel: up to £40 one-way fuel/travel allowance.
Driving: own car desirable but not essential; work mileage paid at 55p/mile.
Applicants must be physically capable, experienced, permanently based in the UK and available from September.
Experience with Parkinson’s, wheelchair users or mobility support is highly desirable. CV and references required. Direct private family arrangement – no agency. Self-employed role.
