About the Role:
London is one of the United Kingdom’s most diverse food and retail markets, and at Joy Food Algerie UK Ltd, we bring distinctive North African and Mediterranean products to retailers, wholesalers, restaurants and hospitality businesses across the country.
We are looking for a Key Account Executive who can develop strong commercial relationships with our most important customers. You will manage a portfolio of retail and wholesale accounts, identify opportunities for growth and ensure that customers receive reliable service from initial order through to delivery.
This is a mid level commercial role for someone who understands that successful account management is not only about achieving sales targets. It is about building trust, understanding customer needs and creating long term value for both the client and the company.

Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Management: Manage and develop relationships with assigned retail, wholesale and hospitality customers.
Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to increase product listings, order volumes and account value.
Customer Meetings: Conduct regular account reviews to understand performance, customer priorities and upcoming requirements.
Sales Planning: Prepare account plans, revenue forecasts and promotional proposals for key customers.
New Business Support: Research and approach suitable prospective customers within the food retail and hospitality sectors.
Commercial Negotiation: Support pricing discussions, promotional agreements and contract renewals within approved commercial guidelines.
Order Coordination: Work with supply chain and customer service teams to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on schedule.
Product Presentations: Introduce new food products, seasonal ranges and promotional opportunities to customers.
Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate account records, sales activity updates and revenue reports.
Issue Resolution: Respond professionally to customer concerns and coordinate practical solutions with internal departments.
Market Awareness: Monitor competitor activity, customer demand and emerging trends within the UK food market.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in account management, sales, business development or customer relationship management.
Industry Background: Experience within food distribution, FMCG, retail, wholesale, hospitality or consumer products is preferred.
Relationship Skills: You can build professional relationships with buyers, business owners and operational contacts.
Commercial Awareness: You understand pricing, margins, sales targets and the importance of sustainable account growth.
Communication: You can present products and commercial proposals clearly and confidently.
Organisation: You can manage multiple accounts, meetings, orders and follow up actions without losing attention to detail.
Negotiation: You are comfortable discussing pricing, promotions and service expectations with customers.
Technology: You can use Microsoft Office, customer relationship management systems and sales reporting tools.
Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken English is required. French or Arabic language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
Mindset: You are commercially motivated, dependable and focused on building long term customer partnerships.
Pay: £35,000.00-£47,575.00 per year
