GRS Recovery is looking for a professional and reliable Class 2 or 1 Recovery Driver to join our team.
The role involves recovering and transporting vehicles following breakdowns and road traffic accidents, both locally and over longer distances. You will be responsible for carrying out each recovery safely, professionally and with a high standard of customer care.
Previous vehicle recovery experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, applicants must have experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
Shift Pattern
- 10 hours shifts
- Four days on, two days off
- Full-time, permanent position
- Overtime paid at time and a half
Key Responsibilities
- Recovering and transporting vehicles following breakdowns and accidents
- Operating recovery equipment safely and correctly
- Completing vehicle and job documentation using a company-issued smartphone
- Providing a professional and reassuring service to customers
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Following company procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
- Maintaining the recovery vehicle and equipment to a high standard
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid Category C/Class 2 driving licence
- Hold a valid Driver CPC card
- Have previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles
- Possess strong customer service and communication skills
- Have a good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Be reliable, professional and able to work independently
- Be willing to undergo police vetting
