Job Purpose:
I am a neurodivergent single parent who is looking to employ a Personal Assistant. The successful candidate needs to be able to provide consistent, step-by-step support, helping me with maintaining routines and reduce the risk of self-neglect. I would like help with both prompting and practical assistance to manage my tasks so I can establish and maintain routines that enable me to provide a clean, stable, and nurturing home environment for myself and my children. Your role will be mainly supporting me with cleaning, some decluttering/organising as well as food preparation and other general household tasks.

Details:
- Support with managing and maintaining nutrition.
- Support with maintaining personal hygiene including toileting needs and being appropriately clothed.
- Help with maintaining a habitable home environment and being able to make use of the home safely.
- Support with developing and maintaining family or other personal relationships. Accessing and engaging in work, training, education, or volunteering.
- Support with making use of necessary facilities or services in the local community including public transport and recreational facilities or services.
- Support with carrying out any caring responsibilities the adult has for a child.
Person specification
Essential:
Super organised person.
Great motivator.
Experience supporting someone who is neurodivergent.
Willing to learn, be open minded and non-judgemental.
Desirable:
Experience as a professional cleaner/declutterer.
Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour.
- Hours and times of work: 6 hours per week, arranged flexibly.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, Manual Handling of Objects and Autism.
Post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
