About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely welcoming and inclusive school. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience supporting vulnerable children or young people, especially in alternative provision, support roles, SEN settings, mainstream inclusion units, or pastoral support roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and promote positive behaviour
- Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of students
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing atmosphere within the school
Requirements
- Experience working with vulnerable children or young people
- Background in SEN, youth work, residential care, mentoring, sports coaching, or similar roles
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
Pay: £92.63-£110.00 per day
