Operating from our 32,000 sq ft factory in Newtown, Powys, we also offer a wide range of manufacturing services, including CNC cut and finish contract manufacturing and Timber Frame Panel manufacturing for the construction industry.
About the job:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee CAD Technician / Trainee Draughtsperson. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from our experienced in-house design team, developing your skills on real projects as you help create detailed and precise CAD drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the design and sales teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
· Assist in creating detailed CAD drawings and technical specifications.
· Learn and apply industry-standard draughting techniques and software tools.
· Contribute to design discussions and provide input on optimising display solutions for both aesthetics and functionality.
· Support the design team in maintaining project documentation and records.
About you:
· An ambition and interest in becoming a CAD designer/technician
· Basic understanding of CAD software (Solidworks is a plus)
· Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and commitment to the role
· Good I.T. skills
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision in draughting.
