Yester Farm Dairies is a family operated artisan dairy producing a range of soft cheeses, cultured creams, soft cheeses, yoghurts all on the family farm. Family run, we are based in the beautiful East Lothian countryside close to the coast, Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. Must live within the local area and have own means of transport.
Night shift work 5 in 7 days (might include some days to cover annual leave)
Job Purpose
To ensure that all production areas, equipment, machinery, utensils and associated facilities are cleaned and maintained to the required hygiene standards to support the safe and efficient manufacture of dairy products.
The Hygiene Operative is responsible for carrying out cleaning and sanitation activities in accordance with company procedures, BRCGS Food Safety Standards, HACCP requirements, cleaning schedules and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The role requires a high level of attention to detail and strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Chemical handling training experience preferred but not mandatory.
