Overview
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker, ideally someone with a high level of experience in internal / cylindrical grinding, and standard toolroom equipment. We are highly interested in individuals with experience in taper grinding.
Duties
- Producing high precision tooling for the assembly / disassembly of machine tool spindles.
- Operate toolroom machinery, lathes, mills, grinders and bench work.
- Produce 1 off replacement components
- Check dimensions with measuring instruments
- Support manufacturing in achieving customer satisfaction, quality and production targets
- Working to health and safety standards.
- Organised & working to a high standard, keeping work area clean and tidy.
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications HND/HNC/apprenticeship or industry experience.
- Be tenacious and be able to demonstrate out of box thinking ability to find solutions.
- Able to work in a team environment or on your own.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in grinding, milling, turning
- Ability to work with hand tools effectively and safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in tool assembly and maintenance.
