Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food safety practices and ensure adherence to hygiene standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative culinary options
- Ensure all dishes are prepared within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management
- Experience in restaurant service or hospitality is highly desirable
