Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and provide technical support to production operations in the manufacture of subsea products.
Responsibilities:
- Devise methods of manufacture including tooling, fixturing and inspection.
- Highlight project specific tooling needs for customer products. Manages development of new tooling to facilitate manufacturing techniques.
- Create & simulate NC programs using CAD/CAM & simulation software.
- Use tool management system for creation of toolkits etc.
- Create and manage shop documentation (Routings, Dimensional checklists, Weld maps etc) in accordance with manufacturing processes.
- Take innovative approaches to problem-solving relating to the manufacturability of subsea products.
- With limited direction from Manager, identify and manage small improvement & productivity projects to completion.
- Working on NCR Resolution & proposing technical support to customer engineering department
- Prioritize and manage multiple jobs concurrently.
- Engage in all HSE initiatives to ensure high levels of health and safety are adhered to throughout the manufacturing process.
- Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.
- Participate in technical and program reviews.
Requirements:
- HNC or equivalent experience in mechanical/production engineering,
- Manual/CNC Machining experience.
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.
- Understanding of GD&T and impact manufacturing methods have in achieving them.
- Computer literate with strong MS Office knowledge.
- Solid oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Desired Characteristics:
- Siemens NX CAD/CAM software experience.
- CGTech Vericut software experienced.
Pay: £44,000.00-£49,000.00 per year
