Overview
About You
We are looking for a practical, commercially minded construction professional who has progressed from working on the tools into site supervision and management.
The successful candidate will have:
- A trade background within construction (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, decorating, general building or similar), having progressed through the industry into management.
- Previous experience as a Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Working Foreman or Minor Works Manager delivering residential or commercial construction projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of construction methods, repairs, refurbishment, snagging and finishing works.
- Experience managing directly employed operatives as well as subcontractors across multiple sites.
- Excellent understanding of sequencing works, planning labour, managing materials and coordinating multiple trades.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to control budgets, understand project costs, maximise productivity and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Experience dealing directly with customers, residents and clients, with a strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience.
- A proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to make practical decisions on site.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience using job management or property management software.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site compliance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS (preferred) or SSSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH.
- First Aid at Work.
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction Site Supervision, Construction Management or a relevant trade qualification.
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
