About the Role
BSA Tube Runner Ltd manufactures specialist precision machinery and maintenance tools used worldwide. We operate a low-volume, high-quality engineering workshop backed by an on-site machining company.
We are looking for a practical, self-motivated Mechanical Assembly & Workshop Technician. This is an independent, varied role where you will take full ownership of the workshop floor: assembling specialist tooling, testing finished equipment, and taking charge of workshop inventory.
While a strong mechanical assembly background is essential, you do not need previous inventory management experience—training on our stock control software will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
· Mechanical Assembly & Testing: Hands-on assembly, fitting, and testing of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical tools and specialized plant machinery to precise specifications.
· Daily Planning & Prioritization: Organise your own workload and plan assembly schedules based on production priorities set by the management team.
· Full Workshop Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, goods receiving, component storage, and dispatch packing (training provided).
· Workshop Ownership: Keep the workshop organized, efficient, and stocked for upcoming build schedules.
What We Are Looking For
· Proven hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, bench fitting, or mechanical maintenance.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read engineering drawings/schematics.
· High degree of independence: someone who takes initiative, manages their own time effectively, and solves practical problems.
· Good organizational skills to take full control of inventory and workshop operations.
