We are hiring… role available for a Hire Manager/Planner, based at our offices in Gateshead - Managing hires in the North-East, North-West, all of Yorkshire & beyond
What You'll Be Doing:
* Managing incoming and outgoing hires per day across our range of specialist road construction plant & equipment, both operated and self-drive
* Processing hire desk administration and handling customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy
* Coordinating with drivers and Service Manager to ensure timely deliveries and collections
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of operational know-how, customer focus, and a proactive mindset, including:
* Ideally proven experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to respond to routine, reactive & emergency requests
* Strong communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail
* Confident IT skills, including Outlook and Excel
* A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative
* Previous experience in the plant hire industry is essential
