The Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team.
This is a customer-facing role, assisting customers with enquiries and bookings for holidays, day excursions, cruises and theatre trips. You will also provide administrative support and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our busy travel office.
The successful candidate will enjoy speaking with customers, building relationships and providing outstanding service whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Previous travel industry experience is not essential as full training will be provided. However, strong customer service skills, confidence using computer systems and a genuine passion for helping people are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in person, over the telephone and via email
- Processing holiday, day trip and excursion bookings
- Providing information and advice on our products and services
- Managing customer enquiries and follow-ups
- General administrative duties
- Maintaining accurate customer records
- Supporting the wider team with office administration
- Delivering excellent customer service at every stage of the booking journey
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous customer service experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workload effectively
- A positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach with the confidence to identify opportunities for improvement
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find practical solutions
Contract Information
This role is initially being offered on a 3-month temporary contract. As Kirbys continues to grow, we are looking for someone who can become a long-term member of our team, and there is the opportunity for the role to become permanent following a successful probationary period.
