Responsibilities
- Safely perform tree pruning, crown reduction, cabling, bracing, and removal using specialized hand tools and power equipment
- Operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment to assist with large-scale tree work and site preparation
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting new trees, mulching, fertilizing, and irrigation system installation or repair
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain tools, power tools, and machinery ensuring optimal performance
- Assist with gardening activities to promote healthy growth of trees and surrounding vegetation
- Support construction projects related to landscape enhancement or infrastructure improvements involving trees and green spaces
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure team well-being
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture with a focus on tree care
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as chainsaws, trimmers, drills, and other power tools
- Hands-on experience with hand tools including pruners, saws, axes, and shovels
- Familiarity with operating excavators or similar machinery for large-scale tree work or site excavation
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
- Construction experience related to outdoor projects is advantageous
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or training in arboriculture or horticulture are preferred
