We're recruiting for an experienced LCV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician looking for a stable, permanent position with competitive pay, regular working hours and excellent opportunities for technical development.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a range of light commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable and compliant with industry standards.
The Role
As an LCV Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out routine vehicle maintenance to DVSA standards.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing light commercial vehicles.
- Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Completing all required paperwork and job documentation accurately.
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the workshop.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
- Working as part of a professional team to minimise vehicle downtime.
About You
We're looking for an experienced LCV Technician / Van Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician with:
- Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working on light commercial vehicles / vans.
- Strong diagnostic skills are essential.
- Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
- Experience with vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- A reliable and professional approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm
One in two Saturdays
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a consistent daytime working pattern.
