We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Help with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and family members to ensure personalised care
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for all
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments if necessary
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
- Good IT skills for maintaining documentation and updating records accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel or transportation of clients
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
