Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Apprentice to join our nature based and creative setting and gain their Level 3 in Early Years Education.
You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children; supporting learning through imaginative and curious play.
If you are passionate about supporting children, have a strong desire to develop your understanding of the Early Years , and are enthusiastic about creating a safe and fun learning space, we would love to hear from you.
Flexible apprentice pathways are available depending on learner style.
4 day working week is also available if preferred.
Training can be done either via college where you would have to attend Telford college one day a week or online
Duties:
- Plan, organise and execute a wide variety of activities for the children that are suitable to their individual stages of development.
- Ensure that child records are accurate, well-written and up-to-date, including learning plans, reports, observations, accident/incident forms etc.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide nurturing care to children in a safe and supportive environment
- Implement engaging and creative learning opportunities for children using the natural world and sustainable resources.
- Foster positive parent partnerships and help create a sense of belonging for all.
- Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history.
- Ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training.
- Model an empathetic, caring and open approach, keeping the children's needs and interests as a priority within the learning environment.
