We are a small, family-run haulage company operating 8 - 10 lorries, with strong foundations and exciting plans for growth.

The Role
- Position: Class 1 (Cat. C+E) Driver - General Haulage
- Working pattern: Monday - Friday with 4 nights out per week
- Hours: Typically 50 - 66 hours per week (including breaks and other work) – all hours are paid, with no deductions for tacho breaks
- Shift lengths: Min 8 hrs, usually 11 - 12 hrs, but up to 14 - 15 hours when required, with occasional Saturday morning roll-ins (paid extra)
- Work type: Curtain sider, all work is forklift/bay deliveries (perhaps 1% may require a pump truck off-load).
Requirements
- Cat. C+E licence (Class 1) held for at least 2 years
- Valid CPC and Tacho card
- Preferably a clean licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Good level of English
- Within commuting distance of Doncaster

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out collections and deliveries to warehouses, factories, and construction sites
- Adhere to Health & Safety rules, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Secure loads properly using straps and equipment provided
- Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (e.g., topping up oil or coolant, changing a bulb)
- Keep cab and loading area clean and tidy
- Communicate with site contacts and the planning team as needed
- Use a smartphone for navigation (or your own HGV satnav), paperwork scans, and updates (training provided; company phone or allowance available)
- Represent the company professionally at all times
Pay & Benefits
- Real average equivalent pay of £14.79/hour + holiday pay – with all hours paid (no tacho break deductions) and the regular bonuses included
- Equivalent annual earnings: £43,000 - £49,000/year (including the nights out, holiday pay and bonus)
- £26/night out (tax-free)
- Weekly performance bonus worth up to £65
- Overtime: Saturdays +50%, Sundays +100%
