We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join a specialist manufacturing facility in Portsmouth. This is a hands-on role working with both CNC and manual machinery to produce precision components to tight tolerances.
Key responsibilities:
- Operating CNC and manual lathes
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Measuring components using precision inspection equipment
- Maintaining quality and accuracy throughout production
- Working safely within a busy machine shop environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, Turner or Manual Machinist
- Strong CNC and manual lathe experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment
- Fanuc controls essential
- Heidenhain and XYZ Prototrak experience would be an advantage
