Help shape outstanding support experiences for learners

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Learning Support Co-ordinator to join our team.
This is a rewarding role with responsibility for coordinating the delivery of learning support across curriculum areas. You will co-ordinate and support a team of Learning Support Officers, oversee learner support planning and review processes, and work closely with learners, curriculum teams, parents, carers and external agencies to ensure support is effective, compliant and focused on positive learner outcomes.
About the role
As a Learning Support Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring learners with SEND, EHCPs, High Needs Funding and wider additional learning needs receive high-quality, person-centred support that enables them to succeed.
You will:
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of learning support within a designated area of provision.
- Line manage and develop a team of Learning Support Officers, supporting high standards of practice and continuous improvement.
- Quality assure learner support plans, reviews and support arrangements to ensure they are effective, outcome-focused and responsive to learner needs.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure support is planned effectively and has a positive impact on learner participation, progress and independence.
- Co-ordinate transition, annual review and wider SEND processes through effective partnership working with learners, families, Local Authorities and external professionals.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of support arrangements, using data and feedback to drive improvement.
- Promote the use of assistive technology and innovative approaches that increase learner independence and reduce barriers to learning.
About you
You'll be an effective co-ordinator with a strong understanding of learner support, inclusion and SEND within a Further Education environment. You will be committed to high standards, able to build positive relationships and passionate about helping learners achieve their potential.
You will have:
- Significant experience of coordinating support for learners with additional needs within Further Education.
- Experience of supervising or managing staff and supporting professional development.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of support planning, quality assurance, monitoring and review processes.
- Knowledge of SEND, reasonable adjustments, safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering an outstanding learner experience.
