Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist – Manchester

The Opportunity
We are working with an established AJ100 architectural practice that is looking to strengthen its Manchester team with an experienced Architectural Technician / Technologist.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who is confident taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality technical information from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion.
You will work closely with Architects, consultants, contractors and other members of the design team, playing an important role in the successful technical delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the technical delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion
- Produce and develop detailed technical and construction information
- Coordinate information between the architectural team and external consultants
- Liaise with main contractors and sub-contractors
- Attend design team, contractor and site meetings
- Prepare, maintain and issue accurate working drawing packages
- Resolve technical and coordination issues throughout project delivery
- Take ownership of projects and work with a high degree of autonomy
- Ensure technical information is accurate, coordinated and delivered to programme
About You
The successful Architectural Technician / Technologist will ideally have:
- 10+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Proven experience delivering projects through the technical stages
- Strong understanding of RIBA Stage 4 through completion
- Advanced AutoCAD skills
- Good working knowledge of Revit is highly desirable
- Strong technical detailing and construction information experience
- Good understanding of architectural and multidisciplinary coordination
- Experience liaising with contractors and attending site meetings
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary design environment
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
