Looking for a dynamic Staff Nurse to work in our care home in Cerne Abbas.
Duties include :
- Provide strong clinical leadership skills, supporting, energising, inspiring and empowering others in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective management of the home. Ensuring nursing services adhere to the NMC code of conduct.
- To be actively involved in the individual’s care and helping to plan this care.
- Clinical lead to oversee all nursing residents care including implementing and reviewing all nursing care plans
- Monitor the performance of all care staff on shift and take the necessary action to manage poor performance, e.g. attendance issues, conduct and behaviour issues.
- To provide physical and personal care when needed. Ensuring call bells are answered promptly.
- Ensure that staff implement policies and procedures and work collaboratively with the Multi-disciplinary team and service manager.
- Ensure residential residents are referred to the District Nursing team with regard to dressings, tissue viability etc.
- To contribute to the overall quality of the service delivery, by working closely with other members of the staff team, helping promote good practice taking part in staff meetings, and contributing to meeting the objective of the team.
- To promote dementia care, liaising with dementia link worker(s) to promote training and provide mentorship for care staff
- To take part in regular supervision meetings and in activities to meet agreed learning and development needs associated with the job.

- Adult Protection
- Financial
To report immediately any incident of a serious nature such as abuse.

Shift patterns are 08.00 -20.00.
