Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Labourer / Flooring Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various flooring installation projects, ensuring that each job is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of flooring installation sites, including surface cleaning and surface leveling
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut trims
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, or trim work as needed
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials
- Assist with construction painting tasks to prepare surfaces for flooring installation or touch-up work
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
Requirements
- Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and measuring tapes
- Experience with power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and grinders is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be given.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
