As a Quality Controller, your role will include maintaining the Optical Graders to ensure the optimisation of product quantity and quality throughout, whilst providing our customers with product that meets the correct specification.

Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off, 06:00-18:00hrs, 2x 15 minutes paid break & 1x 30 minutes unpaid break
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitoring product quality on the line and adjusting machine settings to ensure compliance with customer specifications
- Ensuring all relevant optical grading and quality checks are carried out correctly in a timely manner
- Communicating product and performance issues to the Senior Team Leader
- Monitoring waste levels
- Conducting positive release inspections
- Taking appropriate action re complaints or rejections
- Liaising with Senior Team Leaders and Engineering on line breakdown or other issues
- Actively be involved in continuous improvement and processes on site
Key Attributes:
- Ability to manage time effectively, planning workload and meet targets
- Communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work as part of a team sharing knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of customer requirements and quality specifications
- Understanding of B.R.C. and H.A.C.C.P. requirements
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word/Excel/Outlook
