Medical Secretary
About the Role
Virprac is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our growing team.
This is not a general administration role previous Medical Secretary experience within General Practice is essential. This is a performance and target driven role, so candidates must be able to work efficiently, maintain high levels of accuracy, and consistently meet productivity expectations while delivering quality work. You will be responsible for processing electronic referrals from primary to secondary care using a range of clinical systems, so accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail are key.
You must be confident working in a fast paced environment, handling sensitive information professionally, and managing workloads effectively.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Secretary within General Practice
- Experience processing referrals and clinical correspondence
- Strong knowledge of EMIS Web and/or SystmOne
- Excellent administration, typing, and computer skills
- Good understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to work accurately under pressure

Pay: £13.50 per hour
