The exciting and magical Christmas season will soon be upon us here at The Yorkshire Soap Company. Which means we're looking for lots of extra help to make the festive period across all of our stores a really special time for our valued customers, who are all looking for that perfect gift for their loved ones.
We have a number of temporary sales assistant positions available across our stores in the stunning city of York. These stores include the Yorkshire Soap Co., The Imaginarium, The Society of Alchemists' and Monk Bar.
Ideally, you will have some retail experience and a passion for making every customer’s experience one to remember. At The Yorkshire Soap Company, we pride ourselves on our high standards of retail and strive to being the best retail stores in Yorkshire, so we want our sales assistants to really shine, work hard and have lots of fun.
Your duties will include meeting and greeting customers, providing excellent service, establishing customer's needs and helping them to find the perfect gift, whilst ensuring our products are well stocked and that displays are full, clean and tidy. You will also assist in weekly deliveries and may be on the till performing cashier work.
We will require extra help from August to December, when the contract will end on 24th December 2026. If there are positions available, amazing candidates will be considered for permanent roles with the company during 2027.
We're looking to fill part time positions across 7 days of the week. These will be an 8 hour contract. You'll need to be flexible and be available to work weekdays and weekends as plenty of overtime will be avialble during November and December.

Our rates of pay start at £10.85 to £12.71 based on your age and retail experience.
