We’re pleased to advertise this opportunity to join the GP Youth Project, an innovative service operating in South Pembrokeshire. This project aims to prevent the emergence of mental health problems by working proactively with children and young people to increase their resilience and capacity to manage their difficulties. This is carried out by providing triage, assessment, signposting and brief intervention to children and young people identified by GPs as in need of support.
Interviews to be held on 20/7/2026
The successful applicant will provide psychologically informed brief interventions to these children and young people. This will be done with the aim of promoting their emotional and mental health in collaboration and partnership with other agencies.
The post holder will provide health care duties under the supervision of the qualified practitioner and implement nursing care in line with the assessed need of the young person or adolescent within a community setting, as part of a team within the GP Youth Project.
The post holder will, on occasion deliver clinical support and interventions autonomously in the community / hospital setting.
