Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity
- Support medication administration under supervision or according to care plans, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Monitor health status by observing changes in behavior or physical condition and report findings promptly
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a warm, welcoming environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe living space for residents
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care is essential
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for driving duties if required
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage behavioral challenges effectively
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
