Salary: £26,000–£28,000 per annum (depending on experience), with annual salary reviews linked to progression.
About the Role
Chartford Homes is looking for a motivated Apprentice / Trainee Site Manager to join our growing Construction Team.
Working alongside experienced Site Managers, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of residential housebuilding while completing a fully funded apprenticeship.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress into an Assistant Site Manager and, ultimately, a Site Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
· Delivering site inductions and administering permits to work.
· Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring site progress.
· Maintaining site records, inspections and quality documentation.
· Reviewing drawings and developing technical knowledge.
· Monitoring temporary works, environmental controls and waste management.
· Reviewing subcontractor RAMS.
· Supporting customer care and quality inspections.
· Providing site cover across Chartford developments when required.
· Completing apprenticeship training and company development programmes.
What We're Looking For
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Good attention to detail.
· IT literate.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
· GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
· Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one).
