The Role
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work autonomously within your scope of practice, assessing, diagnosing and managing a broad range of patients presenting to primary care.
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
- Managing acute, urgent and same-day presentations
- Assessing and treating undifferentiated patients
- Independent prescribing within your scope of practice
- Diagnosis and management of minor illness and minor injury
- Management of long-term conditions
- Reviewing and interpreting clinical investigations
- Developing and reviewing individual treatment plans
- Appropriate referrals and onward management
- Clinical decision-making and effective safety-netting
- Providing patient education and preventative healthcare
- Supporting patients with complex clinical needs
- Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider MDT
- Contributing to clinical audits, governance and quality improvement
- Supporting the continued development of ANP-led services within the practice

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced ANP who is:
- An NMC-registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- An independent prescriber
- Experienced within primary care, urgent care or a similar autonomous clinical setting
- Confident assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations
- Clinically autonomous with excellent decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing acute and chronic presentations
- Passionate about delivering safe, high-quality patient care
- A strong communicator and collaborative team member
- Keen to develop professionally and contribute to the continued improvement of the service
