The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on role involving day-to-day reactive and planned electrical works across residential and commercial properties.
You will be expected to work independently, represent the company professionally, and carry out all works safely and to a high standard, in line with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently
- Complete EICRs, minor works, and remedial actions where required
- Install and maintain lighting, power, sockets, and consumer units
- Carry out emergency and reactive maintenance call-outs
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Work within occupied properties while maintaining a professional and respectful manner
- Accurately report completed works and identify any additional issues on site
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Own tools and test equipment
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Desirable (but not essential)
- Testing and Inspection qualification
- Experience working with landlords and letting agents
- Knowledge of both domestic and commercial electrical systems
