About the role
Hunters 4 Staff are working with a well-established and friendly engineering company based in Cheadle. They've built a solid reputation over the years and are now looking to add an experienced CNC Programmer to their team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be trusted to set up, optimise and improve programs across both vertical and horizontal machining centres.
Key responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc or Mazatrol controls
- Set up jobs and tooling efficiently to meet production requirements
- Modify and improve existing programs to increase quality and productivity
- Work closely with the team to resolve machining issues and reduce downtime
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy and consistency across all work
- Follow safety and quality procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer on vertical and/or horizontal machining centres
- Strong working knowledge of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls
- Ability to set up machines independently and troubleshoot issues
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
- A practical, reliable approach with a focus on quality
